1. The Department Of Commerce of Deshbandhu College For Girls in collaboration with Department Of Commerce of Savitri Girls College had organized a Webinar on the Topic “Impact Of Covid-19 Pandemic on Trade,Commerce and Industry In India” on 20.09.2020.
The Honourable Speakers of the Webinar were Prof..Dr.Suvasis Saha (Professor of Marketing, Department of Business Management, University of Calcutta) and Dr. Kartik Chandra Samanta (Principal, Chandrapur College, Bardhaman).
2. Career Counselling Session: The Way Forward With Modern Education. A Special lecture on career counselling was organised by Department of Commerce and Department of BBA, Deshbandhu College for Girls in collaboration with Department of BBA, The Bhawanipur Education Society College on 27 th September, 2022 in our college premise. Honourable speaker for the lecture was Dr. Tridib Sengupta, Coordinator, Department of BBA, The Bhawanipur education Society College. His deliberation was enriched with scope and opportunities for the students. The lecture was attended by teachers and students with full zeal and enthusiasm.
3. A Special Lecture was organised on 29.11.2022 jointly by Department Of Business Administration and Department of Commerce on the Topic - “Life Style Marketing For Environment and Sustainability – Its Flip Side”. This topic highlights the sustainable lifestyle marketing of consumers to investigate the attitudes of the consumers towards sustainable lifestyle and behavior on the basis of attitudes. The Honourable Speaker of the Lecture was Prof. (Dr.) Suvasis Saha (Professor of Marketing, Department of Business Management, University of Calcutta).
4. Faculty and student exchange programme was organised by the Department of Commerce and I.Q.A.C., Deshbandhu College For Girls in Collaboration with the Department of Commerce and I.Q.A.C., Kidderpore College on 28th June 2023. The lecture was delivered by Miss Rupasmriti Ghose Biswas from Deshbandhu College for Girls and Mr. Tanbir Islam from Kidderpore College. The event was held on online platform (google meet) focusing on the second semester of the Department of Commerce where students and teachers from both the colleges participated
5. A seminar on the topic “Reflections of Current Global Scenario on Indian Economy: Financial Issues, International Trade & Sustainable Development” on 20.12.2023 was jointly organised by the Department of Commerce, Department of Economics and Department of Environmental Science of Deshbandhu College for Girls. The Honourble Speakers of the seminar were Prof. (Dr.) Kausik Gupta, Professor, Department of Economics, University of Calcutta, Former Vice Chancellor, West Bengal State University; Dr. Pranabesh Sanyal, Former Chief Environment Officer, Government of West Bengal and Dr. Biswajit Mandal, Associate Professor, Department of Economics and Politics, Viswa Bharati University.
